Usatyi: I call on all real political forces to boycott parliamentary elections according to a mixed system

The leader of “Our Party” commented on the illegal decision of the Central Electoral Commission, which refused twice to register the action team for holding a referendum on annulment of the mixed system of Plahotniuc-Dodon.

According to Renato Usatyi, the government, “which arose as a result of an unconstitutional coup”, roughly modified the legislation on elections. In this situation, Renato Usatyi called on all real political forces to boycott parliamentary elections according to a mixed system and begin preparations for protests of indefinite duration. At the same time, the local elections should become a “referendum of mistrust in the regime in the two largest cities of the country”:

- Today the regime has once again shown all citizens of Moldova their place. The CEC for the second time refused to hold a referendum against the mixed system of Plahotniuc-Dodon. Today it is obvious that with such a CEC, with such an anti-democratic system as a whole, the real opposition must promote its agenda, and not follow the regime’s course. I call on all real political forces to declare a boycott of parliamentary elections according to a mixed system. There are a number of reasons for that: the legislation on elections was modified with grave violations, by deceiving citizens through controlled TV channels; a regime that is not credible for citizens and has arisen as a result of an unconstitutional coup. The citizens must boycott these imposed parliamentary elections according to a mixed system and begin preparations for protests of indefinite duration. In the case of early local elections - to support candidates who have not been stained by ties with the Plahotniuc-Dodon tandem, to make these local elections a referendum of mistrust in the regime in the two largest cities of the country, - Renato Usatyi wrote in Facebook.
