Ursaki: "Do not be afraid – fight!" The Council of Europe condemned the political persecution against local elected representatives from Our Party

The Council of Europe condemned the political persecution organized by the regime of the oligarch Vladimir Plakhotnyuk, against local elected representatives from Our Party. This was reported in social networks by human rights activist Anna Ursaki.

“I congratulate the team and local elected representatives from Our Party! You were heard! Political persecution and, as a result, criminal prosecutions of mayors and councilors of Our Party turned into a tough reaction from the Council of Europe. Thus you can! An example that all local representatives of opposition parties should follow. Do not be afraid – fight!” Ursaki wrote.

The human rights activist stressed that the delegation of Our Party, that visited Strasbourg in April this year, mentioned all the victims of political persecution organized by the Plakhotnyuk’s regime “by drawing the attention of the Council of Europe to the activists of the “Dignity and Truth” Platform, civil activists, journalists. This fact was highly appreciated here.”

Recall, the delegation of Our Party paid a working visit to the Council of Europe in April this year. Representatives of the opposition party held a number of meetings with representatives of the Venice Commission, officials of the Council of Europe, as well as the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe.
