The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii believes that oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc has seized justice in Moldova, but at his own expense, while Maia Sandu has done the same, but with the money of development partners. The politician said this to a weekly program in social networks called “Strength in Truth”.
According to the politician, the initiative of the ruling PAS party representatives to destroy the affairs of the Prewetting Commission comes from foreigners who came up with these “vetting and prewetting”.
“Obviously, they want to wipe out the traces of all the outrages they have done. But I hope somebody took care and made copies, and I can assure you that one day it will happen like it did when I came out with the Kroll report and people learned the truth about the theft of a billion,” Usatii said.
At the last meeting of the spring-summer session on July 31, an amendment to the law on the external evaluation of judges and prosecutors, introduced by PAS, drew criticism in the public space. It provides that the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Prosecutors can destroy the information provided by the Preselection Commission following the evaluation process. The reasoning is given as a desire to avoid “misuse of accumulated information on the financial integrity and ethics of candidates”.
