CHAIRMAN OF “OUR PARTY” RENATO USATII COMPARED “MOLDOVA TODAY TO A SINKING SHIP THAT NEEDS TO BE RESCUED”
The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii compared “Moldova today to a sinking ship that must be rescued right now”. In a broadcast on social networks, the politician, who announced his intention to run as a presidential candidate on October 20, said that “the country is being pulled to the bottom by all the problems in the social sphere, economy, agriculture, justice.”
“And citizens have no time to wait for their decision to be agreed with NGOs, with development partners, with the Venice Commission,” the politician said. The politician said that citizens are waiting for someone to come to power and immediately start repairing and saving it!
“Moldova should be saved right now! Not as it is happening now: consultations with NGOs, requesting the position of development partners, the opinion of the Venice Commission – to save the ship or not? While we are going through all these procedures – the ship will simply sink,” Usatii said. The leader of “Our Party” drew attention to the fact that all authorities are always looking for excuses for their failures.
“All authorities are always looking for explanations why they have failed. People are so tired of hearing that one day everything will be fine, that there will be integration into the EU, that pensions will be raised, that there will be support for farmers, care for athletes, orphans, and so on! All 30 years they talk about everything in the future tense, but in the meantime the problems only get worse,” Usatii said.
The politician believes that after everything that has happened in Moldova for 30-something years, the people demand a presidential republic.
“And politicians should do what the people want, not what they dream about at night. The people want change. Changes that can be realized tomorrow, not someday,” Renato Usatii concluded.
