“OUR PARTY” LEADER: “IN MOLDOVA IT IS POSSIBLE TO ‘FIGHT CORRUPTION’ ONLY AGAINST THOSE WHO ARE POINTED OUT FROM ABOVE”

The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii believes that “in Moldova it is possible to fight corruption only against those who are pointed at from “above””. He wrote about it in social networks, commenting on the resignation of the head of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office Veronica Dragalin.

“She was just thrown out of office. Why? It was worth her to cross the road “their own”, as the system ate her up. What does it mean? In Moldova, the authorities are afraid of even hand-picked anti-corruption officials if they suddenly start working for real. There is no fight against corruption – there is only political cleansing of the undesirable,” the politician said.

“After the parliamentary elections, it is necessary to liquidate all institutions that have been compromised over the years. One efficient structure should be created. It should fight major corruption at the highest level of power without compromise,” Usatii emphasized.
