“The ruling Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) “first creates a problem and then brags about its ridiculous solution,” stated the leader of “Our Party”, Renato Usatii, commenting on the announcements that citizens were able to pay the duty online through a special site.

First PAS itself introduces customs duties on parcels worth more than 150 euros, and now boasts of launching a web page where you can declare goods received through international mail online. And they claim this as a great achievement, as if it changes something fundamentally!” he said, recalling that in 2023, the authorities lowered the customs duty exemption threshold for parcels from 200 to 150 euros.

According to him, it was exactly the same with the permit for right-hand-drive cars.

“Our compatriots have been seeking it for years, but the authorities have stretched it out for a whole decade! Such a decision could have been made in a few days,” the politician said.

He assured that the “Our Party” team will seek to increase the duty-free limit on parcels imported into the country from 150 to 500 euros.

“We will insist on the adoption of this decision from the very first days of the new parliament,” Usatii emphasized.
