“OUR PARTY” PROPOSES INTRODUCING ELECTRONIC VOTING FOR ELECTORS

“Our Party” proposes to introduce electronic voting in Moldova as “the only solution to enable every citizen to vote in elections and referendums, regardless of whether they are in the country or abroad.” This was announced by its leader Renato Usatii.

According to him, the electronic voting system “will give all citizens of the diaspora a real opportunity to vote, eliminating the division of voters into ‘us’ and ‘them.’” 

“In addition, electronic voting will make it possible to discuss issues important to the country with the population through referendums. And then people will understand that they are not only remembered once every four years, when someone wants to get into parliament, the president’s office, or the mayor’s office. Before parliament passes any important law, people must be well informed, and the relevant issue will be put to a referendum using electronic voting,” Usatii believes.

He said that his party is also preparing a bill on mandatory psychological and psychiatric examinations for the president, deputies, ministers, and other high-ranking officials. 

“We are developing a bill on mandatory psychological and psychiatric examinations for all high-ranking officials. We became particularly convinced of the need for such a law after Speaker Igor Grosu’s meeting with representatives of the diaspora in Switzerland, where he stated that mayors need to be ‘put under pressure’. Listening to Grosu, Recean, and others, one gets the impression that they need treatment rather than a platform. They are also our citizens, and we must take care of their health,” the politician believes.
