RENATO USATII SAID THAT HE WILL NOT SUPPORT ANY CANDIDATE IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii said that he will not support any candidate in the second round of the presidential election. The politician said this during the program “New Week” with Anatolie Golea on TV8 channel.

Speaking about the nomination of Alexandru Stoianoglo as a single candidate for president from the opposition parties, Usatii said that Stoianoglo should have met with politicians himself, gained their support and nominated a candidate for the presidency, as otherwise he became a “socialist candidate.” At the same time, the leader of “Our Party” admitted that he, in any case, would not have supported Stoianoglo.

“First of all, I have my own agenda, I announced it long ago. I did not participate in these “weddings” of the left or right, I did not discuss anything with them. First of all, based on the calls to meet and discuss, I think there is some strange company there. Can you imagine me standing with (corrupt) Dodon and Filat! No, I am not going to participate in such things. I made mistakes, publicly admitted them and apologized to the citizens. I will not support anyone else. And if I don’t make it to the second round of elections, I won’t make campaigns for anyone,” Usatii emphasized.

Usatii believes that it will not be possible to unite the opposition, as everyone has their own positions and interests.

“Some parties are calling for unification. They have a rating of 0.5 to 1.2% there, they want to hide behind statements that they want to save the country. Let them discuss, I am not involved in this, and they do not decide anything,” Usatii concluded.
