LEADER OF “OUR PARTY”: PAS INITIATIVE TO MERGE THE CHISINAU AIRPORT WITH THE ONE IN MĂRCULEŞTI MUST BE STOPPED

*The authorities of the ruling party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS) are preparing the merger of the Chisinau airport with the airport of Mărculeşti in order to concession them in a single package and eliminate competition, says the chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii.

“I have been talking for years about the need to open an additional airport to stimulate competition. However, every authority has blocked the reopening of the airports in Balti and in Mărculesti. Why? To preserve the monopoly of the Chisinau airport and its dominant position on the market with the transfer of a single package to a new owner,” the politician believes.

In Usatii’s opinion, “the future owner has already been determined and one of his conditions was to get the two airports in a single package.”

“This initiative of the PAS authorities must be stopped!”, – believes Usatii.
