OUR PARTY LEADER: FOR 30 YEARS MOLDOVAN AUTHORITIES HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PLEASE SOMEONE ELSE INSTEAD OF BORROWING THE BEST OF THE BEST

The chairman of Our Party, Renato Usatii, suggested that Moldova should stop the endless dispute about the West and the East, and take the best from there and build at home, in Moldova.

The politician considers it relevant for Moldova to adopt the best practices from both the West and the East.

“I was very skeptical about this or that foreign policy vector. Nobody is waiting for us anywhere. They tell us on TV: “We are waiting for you in Europe, welcome!”, while in private conversations they admit that at the current pace Moldova will not enter the European Union even by 2040,” Usatii said.

According to him, all these years the Moldovan authorities have been trying to please the Russians, the Americans and Brussels.

“As a result, for all 30 years, we’ve been swung left and right. The country is like a ship that needs to be repaired and steered straight, instead of constantly putting it on the right side, then on the left. This is our main problem,” said the leader of Our Party.
