OUR PARTY PROPOSES TO POSTPONE THE VOTE FOR THE NEW GOVERNMENT TO FINALIZE THE GOVERNMENT PROGRAM
Our Party proposes postponing the vote for the new government (scheduled for October 31) to finalize the governance program. Renato Usatii, leader of the Our Party parliamentary faction, made this statement at a briefing on Wednesday following consultations with prime ministerial candidate Alexandru Munteanu.
Usatii said that the program presented by Munteanu is “well-structured and written in a pro-European language.” He also noted that the document contains numerous shortcomings: funding sources are not specified; an interim calendar is missing; and issues such as staffing shortages and possible external shocks are not taken into account.
According to Usatii, Munteanu himself stated that the presented program is “not final.” Usatii believes that the program in its current form is written according to the principle of “Peace, Work, May.”
Therefore, the Our Party faction made two recommendations to the candidate.
“We will demand that the meeting scheduled to consider the vote of confidence in the Munteanu government be postponed,” Usatii stated, also calling for the formation of a working group of parliamentary and extra-parliamentary parties and experts to develop a joint program for governing the country.
