“The mediocrity of the ruling PAS party leads to the fact that citizens pay huge gas tariffs, and after the New Year we are waiting for fan blackouts, as in the 90s of the last century,” said the chairman of ‘Our Party’ Renato Usatii.
The politician cited figures according to which Moldova recently bought gas at a price of about 600 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters, although in the summer the price fluctuated between 360 dollars and 380 dollars.
“Mr. Parlicov! Publish the letter signed by the state secretary of the energy ministry, addressed to Moldovagaz and ANRE, in which you almost demand not to buy gas, as the prices will be lower in autumn. This letter is available today at SIB, at Moldovagaz, at Parlicov,” Usatii said.
He disclosed information about the negotiations held recently with Gazprom, held, according to Usatii, “not on the initiative of the Russian side, but at the request of the Moldovan government”.
According to him, Russia will supply gas to the left bank of the Dniester, but only for the consumption of citizens.
“The inaction of the authorities will lead to the fact that we may have fan blackouts. The left bank, from where we receive electricity produced by the Moldavian TPP, will receive gas for internal needs. And at high prices, and they will only grow, we will have to buy more gas in order to provide the TPP with gas to produce expensive electricity for us,” the politician concluded.
