“OUR PARTY” CHAIRMAN: “SCOTLAND YARD OFFICERS ARE SO DISTRUSTFUL OF THEIR MOLDOVAN COLLEAGUES THAT THEY TOOK DNA SAMPLES FROM MURDERED DRUG TRAFFICKER”

The chairman of “Our Party” (OP), Renato Usatii, said that “officers of the British Scotland Yard do not trust their Moldovan colleagues so much that they themselves came to Chisinau to take DNA samples from the leader of a British criminal group killed in Chisinau.” Usatii sharply criticized the work of law enforcers, stressing that “they proved to be completely inadequate both in preventing this murder and in investigative measures.”

“This case exposed the vulnerability of the Moldovan legal system. We are talking, among other things, about schemes that allow criminals to hide in Moldova while their asylum application is being considered,” Usatii said.

In his opinion, the police made a number of mistakes by leaving the criminal mastermind unattended only because he had applied for asylum.

“But when opposition protests take place, the authorities gather police officers from all parts of the country. The law enforcement agencies direct all their forces to persecute inconvenient politicians, while they are not enough for the protection and safety of ordinary citizens. But protecting the rights of their own citizens is their primary task,” Usatii recalled.
